A new addition to this website is “Bashō’s Menu,” by Emiko Miyashita, a summary of my trip to Japan and my contributions to the 2013 Haiku International Association annual convention in Tokyo. Emiko’s report is accessible from my essay, “Haiku Neighbours: North American Haiku Today,” which was the keynote speech for that event. And in a completely different vein, the “Poems About Haiku” section of the Poems by Others page now includes “The Haiku Chicken” by Richard Tice and “The Only Problem with Haiku” by Roger McGough. Apologies are due. For both.
