This website’s first addition for 2015 is “Friends in Haiku,” my foreword to the Evergreen Haiku Anthology, published in Gifu, Japan in 2003. Also included is an extensive postscript that preserves numerous paragraphs omitted from the foreword’s original publication. I trust that they are worth reading for their exploration of challenges faced by haiku internationalization. You can access this foreword from the Introductions and Postscripts pages. And if it’s poems you want, also just added to the Haiku and Senryu page is “The Gifts of Bashō,” three poems that appeared in the conference anthology for the second annual Haiku Pacific Rim conference, held in Ogaki, Japan, 19—21 November 2004, at which I was a featured speaker.
