Another quiet-ish month here at Graceguts, but a few updates are now featured on the home page. These include my poems from a dozen years of the Drevniok haiku contest (recently published in an anthology), plus my selections and commentary as judge for the 2007 contest. The Quotations page features a new haiku-related excerpt from Lew Welch, and the Digressions page now includes information about the Katikati Haiku Pathway in New Zealand that features one of my haiku. I’ve also added some of my Gulf War haiku and senryu from The Gulf Within, an anthology I coedited with Christopher Herold more than twenty years ago. Meanwhile, I have quite a few new essays, reviews, translations, poems, and other material to add to Graceguts in the weeks ahead, so I expect that July and August won’t be as quiet as May and June.
