Moon Viewing Poem Contest

In 2006 I proposed and judged a public poetry contest sponsored by the Washington Poets Association (of which I was a longtime board member) and the Seattle Japanese Garden. The contest’s theme was the moon, and selected poets were invited to read their poems at the garden’s annual Moon Viewing Festival on 2 September 2006. I’ve just added the results of the “2006 Moon Viewing Poetry Contest” to the Reports page. I have been facilitating poetry-related activities for this annual festival since 2004, in recent years judging a public haiku contest that has become increasingly popular.
