Sax Riffs and Fine Lines

Haiku Canada Review recently published an essay of mine, and also included a Haiku Canada Sheet with a sequence of my haiku. You can read “Sax Riffs and the Art of Tensaku” on the Essays page, a short exploration of how Westerners tend to resist suggested revisions to their haiku, compared with the Japanese. And you can read “Fine Lines” on the Sequences page, with twenty poems that employ lines from famous poems (none of which are haiku) and give them a haiku twist. Hope you enjoy both of these pieces.
