Haiku Broadside

In the summer of 2018, in celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Haiku Society of America produced a set of twelve limited-edition haiku broadsides, letterpress-printed by Befuddled Press on golden flax fiber paper. One of them featured my poem, which won first place in the Haiku Society of America’s 2000 Henderson Haiku Contest:

meteor shower . . .

a gentle wave

wets our sandals

They used an earlier version with an em dash instead of my later preference for an ellipsis, and also changed the indents (which is fine for the broadside). For more information, see the websites for the Haiku Society of America or Befuddled Press. My gratitude to both. I also have copies for sale. If you might be interested, please contact me. + +
