Writers I’ve Studied With

In graduate school, workshops, conferences, and other events over the years, I’ve had the privilege to study poetry and other writing with a wonderful array of fine authors (in addition to many fine poets who specialize in haiku). And I don’t mean just listening to readings (I could list many more well-known poets and writers in that case), but mostly writing poetry in classroom settings and having it critiqued. I’m sure I’m missing a few names in this list, but the following poets and other writers are among the highlights of those I’ve studied with. See also “Famous People I’ve Met.”
