Ritual

I sometimes have a ritual to help me get to sleep. It’s to consciously relax each part of my body. I lie on my back in bed and stretch and relax my toes and ankles. I work my way up, thinking through each appendage and muscle group, noticing any tensions and proactively releasing them. The last thing I do is to lower my jaw—releasing the muscle tension, even if slight. For me, luckily, sleep comes soon after.

Ritual
