More Than a Moment Ago

by John Bigler Crow

Love is like haiku

its depth in what’s

not said, its quality

hidden between words

where silence dwells

and the heart blossoms

like a spring flower.

Love is like haiku

too many words and

the point is lost

to insecurity and fear

Friendships are won or lost

through words and deeds but

Love shouts silently from the

stillness of the heart as

light beams shinning on Life.

It’s friendship that turns the

lovers lust to enduring love

allowing each to grow and

be something more

than a moment ago.
