Alan Watts Wrote Haiku

I’ve recently come across a couple of examples of haiku written by Alan Watts. I had previously found no evidence that he had ever written haiku himself, so I am pleased to be able to add this new evidence as a revision to footnote #13 in “Haiku Missionary: An Annotated Response to Alan Watts’ ‘Haiku.’” One of the haiku reads like a jisei, or death haiku:

This is all there is;

the path comes to an end

among the parsley.

I continue to be on the lookout for any additional haiku Alan Watts might have written, and welcome any examples.
