Haiku and Essay in German

New to the Essays page is “Das Territorium des Haiku,” a translation into German by Claudia Brefeld of my essay, “The Territory of Haiku.” Claudia also prepared “Michael Dylan Welch,” a profile of me with seven haiku translated into German, available through the Commentary and Translations pages. These two pieces both appeared in the German Haiku Society journal, Sommergas, in June of 2019. My gratitude to Claudia for these translations.
