NaHaiWriMo 2017

National Haiku Writing Month starts on February 1st. This is our seventh year of celebrating NaHaiWriMo by composing new haiku poems every day for the month of February—the shortest month for the shortest genre of poetry. Check out the NaHaiWriMo website, and look for daily prompts on the Facebook page (where you can also share your poems). Join us by writing at least one haiku a day for the month of February! And if you’re wondering about the logo, check out Why “No 5-7-5” on the NaHaiWriMo website—find out why 5-7-5 is an urban myth for haiku n English, and why there are more important targets for haiku than merely counting syllables.
