National Haiku Writing Month

Post date: Feb 01, 2015 9:34:34 AM

It’s February 1, so you know what that means! It’s National Haiku Writing Month, or NaHaiWriMo, held every February. The idea is is to write at least one haiku a day for each day during the month of February—the shortest month of the year for the shortest genre of poetry. For more details, visit the NaHaiWriMo website, and join in at the NaHaiWriMo page on Facebook. There are even French and Bulgarian pages for NaHaiWriMo on Facebook! And if you've not read it before, do yourself a favour and check out my essay on the NaHaiWriMo logo, “Why ‘No 5-7-5’?” And get out those pens and notebooks so you can join us in writing a new haiku every day!
