Poems About Haiku

It’s been on my mind to do this for quite some time, and now I’ve done it. The “Poems About Haiku” section on the Poems by Others page is now its own separate page. My lists of favourite “Poems by Others” and “Poems About Haiku” had both become quite long, so it seemed helpful to separate these two lists onto separate pages. And while I was at it, I also just added two new poems to the Poems About Haiku page: “Song of Myself” and “Bellwether.” These sonnets, both by Ronald Wallace, have the inventive trait of having the last words of each line, when read vertically, form a haiku by Japanese master haiku poets, in these cases Issa and Bashō. Wallace has many more poems like this too. I’ve also added a “found” collage poem by J. I. Kleinberg for good measure.
