My daughter Sarah, who also goes by the name Sage, was one of two students chosen to speak at her high school graduation, held on 12 June 2024 at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle. In the video of her graduation from the International Community School, her speech starts at about 30:05 and goes to 35:30. Sarah receives her diploma starting just after 51:59. Below, too, is “Forever We Rise: The Story of the International Community School,” about the history of this renowned school in Kirkland, Washington. The school’s Wikipedia page notes that ICS “has been recognized as one of the best high schools in the United States, public or private,” and was ranked #13 in the nation in 2014, receiving only about 10 percent of applicants. In September of 2024, Sarah began her university career at the Foster School of Business and in the Honors Program at the University of Washington in Seattle. For the Honors Program, Sarah was one of about 250 acceptances out of more than 10,000 applicants.
