The 2017 Seabeck Haiku Getaway included a craft workshop in etegami, a Japanese style of handmade postcard that, for our retreat, we adapted into including haiku, thus producing a variation of haiga. The following are my four attempts.
rising moon
the clouds seem
to disagree
my children see
the face within
uncarved pumpkin
pine candles . . .
my wish to light
your smile
summer waning . . .
she says she’s tied
her fallopian tubes
