Haiga with Marcia McEachron
The following four haiga present poems by Michael Dylan Welch, with artwork and calligraphy by Marcia McEachron. These haiga first appeared in Reeds: Contemporary Haiga. The poems appear by themselves at the end.
a deer leaps
the hunter’s
closed eye
morning chill
the bag of marbles
shifts on the shelf
a table for one
leaves rustle
in the inner courtyard
gliding hawk
the glint of sun
from a fish’s eye
