In 2010, Seattle’s Jack Straw Writers Program gave me the opportunity to focus on developing poetry in two areas—my somewhat surreal “neon buddha” poems, and my American Sentences (Allen Ginsberg’s form derived from haiku) based on amusing things said by my wife and two children. This image is of a postcard promoting three events in the annual Jack Straw Writers Program reading series. My thanks to Jared Leising for curating the 2010 writers program. See also Magazine Cover.
