Haiku Ambigram

Ambigram by John Langdon

John Langdon’s ambigrams are perhaps most famous for their inclusion in Dan Brown’s book, Angels and Demons. The book’s main character, Robert Langdon, named after John, is even more famous from Brown’s The Da Vinci Code and other books. I am a fan of John Langdon’s superb book, Wordplay: Ambigrams and Reflections on the Art of Ambigrams (1992), and its expanded second edition, Wordplay: The Philosophy, Art, and Science of Ambigrams (2005), the earlier of which I read when it first came out, long before Dan Browns books. Please explore John Langdon’s fascinating website, where you can see hundreds more ambigrams and logos, and other artwork. The preceding ambigram is presented here with permission of the artist.

A haiku ambigram of my own, created in 2007.
