Undone

The pressure of the undone
mounts like winter.
A stack of unread books
next to the other stack,
unread email, bills to pay,
the lawn in need of a mow,
fence slats in need of repair,
the relationship crying for a vacation
either together or apart.
What’s to be done?
A to-do list, to add more winter?
