“This anthology is the tenth collection in the storied history of the biennial Haiku North America conference, which began in 1991. We are pleased to dedicate Into Our Words to the memory of William J. Higginson, whose many influential writings about haiku have crept into the words of every haiku poet writing in English. The poems included here are once again arranged by each poet’s first name, and we wish only that this book also included a haiku by a scholar, poet, and friend we new as Bill.” —from the introduction
