This is a haiku book about water, with poems and sequences appearing in both English and Romanian at two to three poems per page. Elizabeth St Jacques’ foreword praises the poet’s spirit, and Ebba Story’s introduction offers deeper insights into a number of the book’s poems. Fifteen illustrations by Ion Codrescu add flavour to this collection, a fine assemblage of poems by Tom Noyes. One could pick excellent samples practically at random. Here are two:
