An Essay and More

How about a new essay? Just added to the Essays page is “Jump Into Haiku,” a breezy and basic essay intended for anyone new to haiku or perhaps stuck in some way. It was originally published on the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival website. Meanwhile, on the Haiku and Senryu page, look in the “Poems in Anthologies” section for “From Shamrock Haiku Journal 2012–2018,” where you’ll find a selection of seven haiku. I’ve also added a very short postscript to the “Territory of Haiku” essay, and the Digressions page now boasts a video of “Thomas on Violin.” Please have a look and listen.
