From the Sublime to the Ridiculous

Two rather different new additions to this site are a set of poems, and a poem of sets. The first is a selection of haiku and senryu from the “Once Upon a Time” section of Fire in the Treetops: Celebrating Twenty-Five Years of Haiku North America, a 416-page collection of more than a thousand poems from all previous HNA conference anthologies, all of I which I edited. I published this latest book with my press, Press Here, in October of 2015. Find a link to the poem selections on the Press Here page. The second addition is “Twelve Days of Christmas Pokémon,” available on the Poems page, a little ditty for you to sing along with, written with the inestimable help and Pokémon expertise of my two children, Thomas and Sarah. Now, which of these is sublime, and which is ridiculous? And no, I don’t mean my children.
