My Haiku Checklist has recently been translated into Russian by Roman Lyakhovetsky—thanks, Roman! An extensive discussion also appears on Roman’s blog. This checklist provides a list of basic matters of craft that every haiku writer should be aware of. I’m always grateful to know of translations of my poems, essays, or other materials. I usually prefer to be asked permission beforehand (as was the case here), but don’t mind being surprised sometimes either. I can’t imagine a situation where I would say no!
