Making Introductions
Post date: Jan 07, 2013 8:51:56 AM
I’ve just added nine new book introductions to the Graceguts site, all of them from Haiku North America conference anthologies I’ve edited, published biennially from 1991 to 2007 (the 2009 and 2011 anthology introductions were already on the site). To house these new additions, I’ve created a new top-level page on the Graceguts site, titled Introductions. It also features all the other prefaces, forewords, introductions, and afterwords I’ve written over the years, all just moved from their old location on the Essays page (moving them helps to shorten the Essays page—which could still do with further shortening). Here’s a list of all introductions I’ve added (plus the two most recent), which now includes the complete history of all Haiku North America anthologies:
1991: On a First-Name Basis: Introduction to Harvest
1993: Introduction to The Shortest Distance
1995: Introduction to Northern Lights
1997: Introduction to Shades of Green
1999: Introduction to Too Busy for Spring
2001: Introduction to Paperclips
2003: Introduction to Brocade of Leaves
2005: Introduction to Tracing the Fern
2007: Introduction to Dandelion Wind
2009: Into All Our Words: Introduction to Into Our Words
2011: On Standing Still: Introduction to Standing Still
