New Year, New Additions

Well, the first month of 2021 has been tumultuous, for better or verse. And I’ve made a slew of January 2021 site additions here on Graceguts, for better and verse:
The Appearances page is now updated to focus on 2021 commitments and opportunities, with 2020 events now archived separately—what a year it was!
On the Rengay page, please find “In Praise of Idleness,” written with the venerable Naomi Beth Wakan.
On the Rengay Essays and Essays pages, look for “Curing Poetic Loneliness with Rengay,” recently published in Wordworks.
Also on the Essays page, look for new postscripts at the end of “In the Eye of the Beholder: Haiku Interpretation” and “What Makes a Great Chapbook?”
On the Further Reading page, I’ve added the preface by Paul O. Williams to his book The Edge of the Woods, complete with a selection of his poems from the book plus my new postscript.
On the Poems About Haiku page, an inspirational new addition is “Hokusai Says” by Roger S. Keyes.
On the Commentary page, you can now find “Haiku Classic 3,” with commentary by Dhugal Lindsay on a poem of mine that appeared in Mainichi.
And on the Haiku Workshops page, check out the new description of my “Even in Kyoto” presentation.
