Redmond Poet Laureate
On 1 October 2013, I was announced as the new poet laureate for the City of Redmond in Washington State. My duties included the staging of the Poets in the Park conference on 19 July 2014, quarterly readings of poetry by dead poets, starting with E. E. Cummings on October 30, summer poetry walks monthly from May through August 2014, and Poem of the Week posters displayed in numerous places in the city, including the library, city hall, senior center, teen center, art galleries, bookstores, and more. The following links provide more information about my poetry programming for the City of Redmond in 2013 and 2014.

I was also reappointed for a second term, from 2014 to 2015. My duties included the staging of a second, even larger Poets in the Park festival, on 20 June 2015, a new set of “Poets Wanted: Dead or Alive” events featuring famous dead poets, and the publication of a collection of solo rengay, titled True Colour. The following are links to these activities for 2014 and 2015.
