July 2024 was another quiet month on Graceguts. I added a photo of Cid and Shizumi Corman to my “Quiet Souls” essay (available through the Essays page). chill in the air—

leaves swirling

by an election sign

her chemo

caught in pictures

the fire’s embers

melting snow—

a little light

on the owl’s shoulder
