1 May 2022
Here are some Graceguts updates in the last month or so, in addition to a few new listings on my Appearances page:
I’ve reorganized Graceguts News to create a new landing page for the most recent addition, with subpages for older additions.
On the Essays page, I’ve updated “Recommended Books on Haiku” to include five additional books. My “Haiku Checklist” now has a few minor revisions. And at the end of the “Little Catastrophes: The Topological Structure of Humor and Haiku” essay, look for the brand-new eighth postscript.
An addition to the Digressions page features First Frost, a new print haiku journal I started editing in 2021. One of my favourite entries on the Digressions page is about Speed Stick Deodorant, which I’ve recently updated. An update to another digression, about Cherry Petal Mats, is the addition of a Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival video that briefly features my haiku.
On the Tinywords page, available through Haiku and Senryu, I’ve added my latest poem to appear in this online journal. And on “My Poems in Haiku Society of America Anthologies,” I’ve reversed the order of poems so the most recent poems appear first.
On the Links page, I’ve added four new journals where I’ve recently been published for the first time: Cattails, Jersey Devil Press, Seashores, and Whiptail.
On the Videos page, I’ve added an audio recording link to my poem “Flowers on the Roof of Hell.”
